For some very peculiar reason, $10,000 per month is the sweet spot and desired income for entrepreneurs. There is a mental block that is suddenly removed and “imposter syndrome” is released once you hit $10,000 in a month. It’s a real epidemic and sadly a lot of entrepreneurs face it every single day. Once you hit it, you know you can do it again, you suddenly have an increase of confidence, and it’s easier to make more than $10,000 or more in a month after that.
I would like to shine some light on how it happened to me. There are many different ways to do it, and everyone has their path that they have to trod. I want to share with you the three ways that I was able to scale to $10,000 in a month by being a Part-time Digital Marketing Consultant.
As a Digital Marketing Consultant, I had 3 income streams that produced the $10,000 in a month’s time, and it was the result of having great success in Facebook advertising, sales and lead generation funnels, email marketing, and teaching. This then lead to getting referrals and signing up my own clients and students and offering different products that others would use.
Some of these methods were high-ticket and done-for-you services and others were from coaching and consulting. It really helps to have a lot of packages in place that will fit the needs of each person that you start working with. Alright let’s dive into it, shall we?
This is where the bulk of it was. The easiest and fastest way to scale to $10,000 in a month is through service-based work. Consider the following...
With affiliate marketing, you are building someone else’s business and you get a commission, meaning you are only getting a percentage of the sale. While affiliate marketing is another one of my favorite methods if done right and if it’s recurring income, you’re still only getting a percentage of commission instead of 100% commission from your fees as a consultant, agency, coach, or freelancer.
The only thing you are losing is time, but you don’t have to use your time. You can hire out the hard stuff and do what you like to do. With e-commerce, you are still only making so much profit with the margins that you are given. Especially when it comes to private labeling or dropshipping. You still have to buy or create the product at a low price and sell high. It’s almost a spitting image of affiliate marketing since you are only getting a percentage of the sale back.
With selling information products, you have to have some serious know-how when it comes to digital marketing, webinars, traffic, sales funnels, sales copy, upsells, downsells, email marketing, and much more. However, this is one of the most profitable if you know how to do it and it’s a scalable product that is a no-brainer.
With blogging, expect to work for a long time without seeing immediate results. Blogging is meant to be ran as a marathon and not a sprint. When it comes to quickly scaling to $10,000 in a month, being a consultant, coach, or agency is the quickest way to get there.
You don’t have to be doing all the work which is a bonus since you’re able to hire out a team to do the work for you so that you can focus on your craft and strengths. Another reason why it’s the fastest way to scale is because of the high-ticket aspect to it. Think about this for a minute…
It’s easier to sell three $3,333 packages than it is to sell one hundred $100 packages or products. You only have to focus on three sales instead of one hundred. Now you don’t have to have that exact package, you could sell ten $1,000 packages, but the concept still stands. In total our revenue for the month was $8,919.24 which came from consulting, done-for-you packages, and agency work.
I love affiliate marketing if it’s recurring. If you’re going after one time sales, as mentioned above, you’re building someone else’s business when you could have made the full sale instead of a percentage of the sale. But cash flow is king and when leveraged properly, you can be extremely successful in the industry with affiliate marketing. Especially if someone is already going to be using a product, you’re simply the middleman.
We did $644.23 from affiliate sales. The products we were getting commissions from were from ClickFunnel signups and an e-commerce course by Chris Conrady called Influencer Marketing For Entrepreneurs. It really helps when you are part of programs and trainings that have an affiliate system in place that you can leverage when people see you getting results. All you have to do is refer them to the product or system and when they buy, you get a commission.
When it’s recurring like from the Clickfunnels’ system, that’s where it gets fun. You know exactly how much money you’re going to be bringing in each month, which is a big deal for entrepreneurs and business owners. It’s smart to leverage this because it takes a lot of money, time, and patience to launch a software with fingers crossed that it will even sell. You either create your own software and try to beat ClickFunnels for the full 100% commissions, or simply promote it and get the commissions.
The last part I’d like to talk about that helped was my coaching. Consulting and coaching are similar but they are still different since one is more hands on and one is more hands off. This is how it was in my case. I had a one-hour coaching call with an added bonus hour for $500.
Figure out different bonuses that you can give out to those who need the one-on-one help. That’s it! Like I mentioned above, there are a ton of ways to make $10,000 in a month. This is what worked best for me and my situation at the time. Here’s to you going and applying to hit $10,000 in a month!
